Nail polish remover with and without acetone

A nail polish remover with acetone can easily remove nail polish, gel polish and acrylic nails from natural nails. Acetone is the most effective solvent to remove products from your nails. However, it can dry out the nail. It is therefore important to wash your hands after using a remover and care for your nails with a cuticle oil. A remover without acetone also removes the products on your nails well, but just a little slower. This remover is a bit gentler on natural nails and doesn't take the shine off your nail. What is the best nail polish remover is very personal. Do you like using a remover with acetone or do you prefer the variant without acetone? We sell both products.

Please note: it is not recommended to use a nail polish remover with acetone during pregnancy. Temporarily choose a remover without acetone, which is safe to use.

Good nail polish remover

Looking for a good nail polish remover? The NailPerfect Aceton is suitable for removing all products on your nails, such as nail polish, gel polish and acrylic nails. Your nails will be nice and clean again after use and ready for a new colour or extension. Always wash your hands thoroughly after using a remover. This is because the products can dry out the skin around the nails. It is also a good idea to treat your nails and cuticles with cuticle oil.

How to use

  • For ordinary nail polish: apply nail polish remover to a cotton ball and leave it on the nail for a while. The polish will release from the nail and you can easily brush away the residue with the cotton ball.
  • When removing gel polish: before removing the polish, always file away the gloss layer. Take a cotton ball with remover, place it on the nail and then wrap it. Let this soak for about 10 minutes. Remove the loose remnants of gel polish with a cuticle pusher. Do this carefully though! Is the polish still too firm on the nail? Then leave it to soak for a while longer.
  • When removing acrylic nails: before removing the acrylic nails, file away the gloss layer of the acrylic or gel polish colour. Apply a cotton ball with remover to the nail and wrap it with a foil. Leave to soak for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then try to remove the leftover acrylic from the nail with a cuticle pusher. Is it still not letting go properly? Then apply the remover again and let it soak for a while more.

Note: nail polish remover can contain a nasty smell. Always use it in a room where you can open a window for good ventilation.

Frequently asked questions

What is in nail polish remover?

Nail polish remover often contains acetone or acetone-free solvents mixed with other ingredients such as water, oils and glycerin. Acetone helps dissolve nail polish, while acetone-free formulas are gentler on nails. It is important to keep your hands well moisturised after using nail polish remover to prevent dehydration.

What should you do if you don't have nail polish remover?

If you don't have nail polish remover, there are a few alternatives. For example, you can gently rub your nails with warm soapy water or use a rubbing alcohol. This way, you can still remove nail polish. It can also help to apply a nail polish over the nail polish and immediately wipe it off. However, these methods can dry out the nails, so moisturise them well after use. It is best to remove nail polish with acetone.
